Seat TCR SEQ @ Sepang International Circuit with AIM SmartyCam GP HD

End of Season testing comes to Sepang International Circuit with 3 Seat TCR Seq race cars from Malaysia based Viper Niza racing. What better way to end the season with shoot out with same spec cars at F1 grade circuit to see what’s what.

With 6 drivers jumping in and out of the car trying to beat each other’s lap times, with multiple session battling each other for practice, all we saw was huge smiles when they get out of the car.

Seat Leon TCR spec race car is a purpose built race car to international TCR regulations and standards. TCR race cars are cost capped at Euro 130,000.00 so it is relatively affordable, with factory supplies on OEM parts it is one of the race cars that can be easily managed and maintained.

The 2.0 litre turbo engine punches out 330hp, compare to street machines these days it is not exactly powerful, but the key is how the power is delivered, it is hooked up to a Sadev 6 speed sequential gearbox, the pedal gear shifts are super slick, and have the immediacy compared to the DSG gearbox. Even with full racing slicks the tires can easily lit up on heavy throttle application. Suspension by Bilstein keeps cornering in check with a wide range of adjustments to height, camber and toe there is a setup to suit all character of drivers. There are many options for brake pads, Pagid, Endless, Ferodo, with different friction levels, but no ABS and adjustable front/rear brake bias, makes it a challenge to maximise the usage of the brakes. The overall package is very complete, I urge you to give it a go if you have the chance.
